Audience members are in for a treat on Friday May 21 when Michael Pignéguy assembles a stunning line-up for what promises to be evening of sultry and soulful sounds. Making up the instrumental component, Michael is joined by two giants of the WA scene, Peter Jeavons (bass) and Grant Windsor (keyboards).  The group is completed by the addition of stunning songstress, Ali Bodycoat who brings her own inimitable vocal style and grace to the ensemble’s sound. Be prepared for night of incredible music in a one of WA’s most unique venues!

Michael returned to WA just over two years ago after living in the Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Doha for 12 years. During that time he formed world-funk outfit The Awakenings Ensemble and performed in the US, Asia and Africa. The group has just released their second double album DUALITY. In contrast, his very first album, MPS Live, was recorded live at Greenwich in the late 90s with The Michael Pignéguy Sextet. He has also composed for film and arranged music for artists such as Ben Folds, Tex Perkins, Tim Rogers and many others.
